NEX-Forms Mailchimp

NEX-Forms Mailchimp – Integration of forms with subscriber lists

NEX-Forms Mailchimp is an add-on that integrates the NEX-Forms form builder with the Mailchimp platform. It allows you to automatically save data from WordPress forms to selected lists (audiences), tag contacts, assign them to interest groups, and manage marketing consents. This allows any form—from a simple newsletter signup to complex surveys and registrations—to become an effective source of lead generation and segmentation without manual export/import.

The NEX-Forms Mailchimp solution leverages the Mailchimp API, so configuration is as simple as providing an API key, selecting a target list, and mapping form fields to contact fields. It also supports segmentation through tags and interest groups, as well as double-opt-in mechanisms to improve database quality and compliance.

Key Features of NEX-Forms Mailchimp

• Field Mapping and Merge Fields: Match form fields (name, surname, email, phone, company, custom fields) to fields in Mailchimp, including custom merge tags.
• Multiple list support (audiences): assign each form to a different list or conditionally route entries to different lists depending on the response.
• Tags and interest groups: automatic tagging, assignment to interest groups, and creation of dynamic segments for targeted campaigns.
• Double opt-in and confirmations: Option to enable double opt-in confirmation to improve deliverability and database hygiene.
• Consents and GDPR: mapping of marketing consent fields and privacy policy, with information about acceptances recorded in the subscriber profile.
• Conditional Subscription: Use NEX-Forms conditional logic to segment contacts, tag, or select a list based on form responses.
• Avoiding duplicates: Recognize existing subscribers by email address and update their details instead of creating duplicates.
• Asynchronous and AJAX work: smooth form submission without page reloads for better UX and higher conversions.
• Multilingual forms: Can be used in multilingual forms created in NEX-Forms, with fields mapped to one or more lists.

Examples of NEX-Forms Mailchimp Use Cases

• Newsletter sign-up forms: simple email + name with immediate source tagging (e.g. “blog”, “footer”, “pop-up”).
• Lead magnets: download an e-book or checklist after completing a form, automatically added to your Mailchimp welcome sequence.
• Registrations for events and webinars: segmenting participants by topic or date, assigning them to appropriate interest groups.
• Surveys and research: Save responses to custom fields to create advanced audience segments.
• Contact forms and quotes: tag leads with “hot”, “trial”, “demo” to prioritize follow-up.
• E-commerce: forms on product pages and in the shopping cart that lead to promotional lists, with tags assigned to a category or brand.

Configuration and Best Practices with NEX-Forms Mailchimp

The setup process is simple: after installing the add-on, simply enter your Mailchimp API key, select your target list, and then map your form fields to the appropriate merge fields. It's worth planning your tag structure and interest groups in advance to keep things organized and allow for scaling your segmentation in the future.

• Establish a standard for tag naming (e.g., “Source:Blog,” “Interest:SEO,” “Stage:Trial”).
• Enable double opt-in for cold traffic or lower quality sources.
• Map consent fields directly to dedicated merge tags to maintain proof of acceptance.
• Use conditional logic to assign tags based on responses (e.g., topic selection, budget, industry).
• Test forms in your work environment using test addresses and a dedicated test list.

To increase conversions, forms created in NEX-Forms can be shortened to key fields and simple validations can be applied. The NEX-Forms Mailchimp add-on ensures that even short submissions are properly tagged and delivered to the right segments. In automated Mailchimp campaigns, it's recommended to run a welcome sequence and an educational cycle aligned with the tags assigned during signup.

NEX-Forms Mailchimp is perfect for company websites and blogs, as well as educational sites, landing pages, and sales pages. By combining flexible forms with Mailchimp's powerful ecosystem, building and nurturing a subscriber base becomes an automated, predictable, and scalable process.
